Get in your car and explore one of the country’s most beautiful drives.  Follow the path carved by ancient glaciers, with the braided Matanuska River for over half its length, this Byway winds through 135 miles of the most impressive terrain on earth.  Learn more about the history of the Glenn Highway and it’s unique features at Glenn Highway National Scenic Byway.  Here is a chart of driving times and distances from Sheep Mountain Lodge.  CAUTION – Google maps and some GPS systems are not always accurate for Alaskan driving directions.  When in doubt – ask a local!
