Applicant must meet the experience and age requirements of Lodgestaff and be willing and capable of taking a leadership role by setting a good example of helping where needed and working with a smile while upholding the responsibilities of a Sheep Mountain Lodgestaff (see below). Customer Service/Restaurant serving experience is required. Additional job responsibilities include espresso service, coordinating all hospitality services with the management team and making sure all services are provided at acceptable levels. This means double-checking and/or helping the housekeeper complete their cleaning for the day and checking food presentation/preparation for accuracy. You will work closely with the lodge owner, who is also the manager, to upkeep our standard of customer service, which includes learning about Alaska and all the local area has to offer.
This position is salaried – 45 hours per week. 2 days off per week and begins around May 15 and ends Sept. 15. During evening hours the main responsibility of this position is table service to our lodge guests. We have a point-of-sale computer system for food-ordering, and a Chef who is great to work with. On your days off you will have ample opportunity to explore the area trails and enjoy the peace and quiet of Alaska’s wilderness. Salary dependent on experience, from $1,750/month + shared tips.
