Lodge staff responsibilities will include serving, cabin cleaning, dish-washing, food preparation, cooking and everything in between. No two days are the same! Two of the lodge staff positions have the primary responsibility of serving tables in the lodge (Evening/Swing Server, Morning Server). Our 7-table dining room and 6-table banquet room requires servers to greet and seat customers, take orders, clean and set up the tables, tend bar, cashier, clean, and check-in overnight guests. We serve family style meals for special events and small tour groups in our separate banquet dining area (seats 30). The other Lodgestaff position helps where needed including, serving tables, dish-washing, and cleaning of our 11 guest cabins. All lodge staff will also be expected to help with cookie baking (a coveted responsibility), assist in kitchen cleaning, bus tables, wash dishes and do outside work including: lawn mowing, gardening, painting, window cleaning, and other assorted maintenance jobs, especially early and late in the summer season. Evening server and morning server applicants must have prior restaurant table service experience and be 21 years of age. All staff share gratuities based on number of hours worked per week.
From $9.00/hour + tips, evening salaried positions start at $1,500 per month. Lodgestaff will be required to obtain a TAP card for alcohol service in Alaska after a position has been offered. We offer higher starting hourly wage or salary for employees with customer service experience.
