The breakfast cook position is for early risers, as your day will start at 6:30am each day. Preparing food for breakfast service from our menu, for lodge guests and roadside travelers, will start the day. After breakfast service, preparation of food items including homemade soups, will be the Breakfast cook’s primary responsibility. The Breakfast cook will also be responsible for: maintaining kitchen sanitation, tracking food inventories and working with our Evening and Swing Cook on food preparation schedules, and kitchen organization. You will be responsible for maintaining appropriate food preparation levels, we have a food preparation list that will be checked each day. Your manager will help you learn how to anticipate food preparation needs. Other responsibilities include: preparing for dinner specials, baking, kitchen cleaning and dish-washing. You must be able to work hard in a small kitchen while keeping level-headed during busy summer months. Some commercial cooking experience is preferred for this position, although all skills and recipes can be learned on the job.
