Travel along the mountains at full speed on your own ATV or ride along in a UTV with professional guides. You’ll throttle across the sprawling landscape of Alaska to a nearby gold claim, just outside Glacier View. This Alaskan adventure is filled with exploration, learning, and your very own hands-on experience with finding gold.
Each person in your group can have their choice of a personal ATV to use for the tour. Although, drivers must be 16 or older. If you don’t want to drive or are under 16 there is an option to still have an exciting adventure in a UTV. In a UTV you will ride as a passenger.
Views and Vistas
The ride out and back comes with awe-inspiring views, a little mud, and a whole lot of fun. And if you’ve never driven an ATV, don’t worry, your guides will be there to offer some instruction. Opportunities await you to take in the spectacular scenery along the way. You might even spot some wildlife too.
After the scenic ride in you’ll find yourself at a gold claim. This is where you will learn the process and techniques involved to pan for gold. Enjoy the sounds of a running creek and relax into this engaging activity. Your guide will offer instruction and answer any questions you may have. And, they have a lot of local knowledge and history to share too.
Going for Gold
Once you try your hand at panning and using a sluice box, you can hone your practice to find gold flakes in the creek. All this hard work pays off with your own keepsake tubes of Alaskan gold! Revel in your treasure all while taking in the expansive views of Alaska on the way back. This is a trip for a variety of ages, abilities, and anyone excited to try their own hand at finding gold!
