Come enjoy the fresh baked bread, homemade soup, daily dinner specials and baked goods that have made Sheep Mountain a must stop.
The lodge restaurant features fresh Alaska seafood, steaks and homemade desserts. Fresh-baked cinnamon rolls, cookies, strawberry-rhubarb pie and sourdough bread, are our specialties. We proudly serve Alaskan Brewing Co. beers from Juneau, a variety of foreign beers, and selection of domestic wines.
We provide great home-cooked meals from our menu in our well kept clean log lodge. The freshest ingredients- from hand-picked rhubarb, to Matanuska grown carrots and fresh caught Alaska wild salmon, we think it makes a difference in taste to source locally. We buy most of our produce from farmers in the agricultural community of Palmer when in season. We hope you will taste the difference.
The lodge building itself is not wheelchair friendly. We will provide help as much as possible.

Many of our best customers join us after their meal! We are happy to take you up in our R44 Helicopter and show you and your family around the Matanuska Glacier, as well as the Talkeetna and Chugach Mountain Range. See incredible wildlife, blue glacier pools, and tons of amazing scenery. Make sure you RESERVE A SPOT, as we do have a limited number of tours we do each day.
